Who Can Adopt

Non-profit organizations can adopt the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling.

How to Adopt

A representative from your organization who has authority to adopt standards of practices (e.g., the executive director, a board chair, a homeownership center director) can adopt the National Industry Standards for the organization.

Code of Ethics and Conduct

The Code of Ethics and Conduct is an essential component of the National Industry Standards.  It is required that a signed copy be kept on file within your office for each counselor listed and made available upon request.  It is important that counselors read, sign, and agree to abide by The Code of Ethics and Conduct and the guidelines set forth in the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling.
